In My Opinion
After going through my website, it should be obvious to see that I am adamantly opposed to Far right nationalism and nationalist parties. In times of despair and hardships it might seem tempting to blame your problems and those of society on a certain race or ethnicity. This is a class A example of scapegoating, something populists have mastered. In the case of modern day nationalists, a majority of them have major stigmas and hold prejudices against Muslims as well as Jews. This tactic of scapegoating is successful since it creates a sort of us vs. them situation which fosters unity based on race. This is textbook racism as it leads people to believe that there are undesirable races. Furthermore, Far right groups, as well as other extremists groups, have been known to use violence to achieve political goals. The best example I can think of this the Far right terrorist acts of Anders Breivik in Norway which killed over 70 people in 2011. Lastly I am against the far right and their parties because of their flirtatious attitude with authoritarianism.
